Annual General Meeting - Tuesday, 29th November 2011

The Liverpool Law Society's Annual General Meeting was held at 5:30pm on Tuesday, 29th November 2011.  

Three new committee members were amongst eight elected to serve a three year term on Liverpool Law Society's General Committee.  The President offered his congratulations to all.  During his speech he thanked the Committee, Officers and in particular the Vice President Steve Cornforth for his assistance over the past year.

A number of awards and prizes were presented on the evening to:

•     Mr Leslie Black, the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.  There is a separate Society News item and a photo of the award presented to Mr Black who has worked for 76 years in the law.

•     The top achieving students in the LPC from local universities and colleges and trainees who have contributed significantly over the last 12 months.

•     The winners of the Liverpool Law Society categories in the 5K Team Challenge Race which took place on 4th September 2011.
