Event Description
100 members and their guests enjoyed an evening of entertainment and a two course meal, whilst raising over £300 for a worthy cause, the Liverpool Mombasa Access to Justice Project.
| The Crypt at the Metropolitan Cathedral is the only part to be built of the original uncompleted Cathedral designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1930. With its high barrel and vaulted ceilings and dark brick work and contrasting grey granite, it gives some feel of the grandeur of the magnificent cathedral planned to stand above it. | ![]() |
| After dinner dairy farmer Peter Slack entertained the crowd with his sharp observational humour and his ability to form word pictures, bringing the countryside and its characters to life.
|
Also appearing were the Merseyside Young Singers of the Year, past and present.
A raffle was held to raise money for the Liverpool Mombasa Access to Justice Project.
