Judges' Forum

The Judges’ Forum took place at Liverpool Law Society's training suite.  Solicitors and barristers, and the chairs of the Civil Litigation, Family Law and Criminal Law sub-committees were asked to submit questions in advance to the senior judiciary in Liverpool.

The judicial panel consisted of: His Honour Judge Stephen Stewart Q.C., Designated Civil Judge for Merseyside, Her Honour Judge Margaret de Haas Q.C., Designated Family Judge for Merseyside and His Honour Judge Mark Brown, Liverpool Crown Court.

This sell-out event is unique.  It lets the judges know the problems and frustrations lawyers face and creates dialogue in having them resolved.

Many of those attending enjoyed the wine and canape reception after the event allowing delegates to mix and mingle with other attendees and the judges themselves.  The drinks and canape reception was sponsored by Allied Irish Bank (GB) and Laird Assessors.
