Event Description

Norman Jones, President of Liverpool Law Society, welcomed over 60 solicitors and barristers to the 2011 Judges' Forum.

Past President Helen Broughton chaired the panel consisting of:

His Honour Judge Brown, Liverpool Crown Court
His Honour Judge Gore Q.C., Designated Civil Judge for Merseyside
Her Honour Judge De Haas Q.C., Designated Family Judge for Merseyside
His Honour Judge Hodge Q.C., Specialist Chancery Judge 

Each judge gave a short presentation before the pre-submitted questions were asked by the delegates and often supplementary questions followed. 

Thanks were given to the chair and the judges from the President at the conclusion of the event.

A Champagne and Canapes Reception following to mark the Opening of the New Legal Year.

Richard Pratt QC, Leader of the Northern Circuit, and Norman Jones, President of the Society, addressed those gathered which included the visiting High Court Judges and also family members of deceased former presidents.   Members and guests enjoyed socialising with the members of the senior judiciary.  Thanks must go to the sponsors of the evening, including Hotel Indigo which supplied the drinks and canapes.
