Newly Qualified Solicitors' Drinks Reception 2009

The newly qualified and their guests were treated to a glass of wine on arrival before taking to their seats for the presentation to begin. A few wise words were offered by Charlie Jones, President of Liverpool Law Society advising the newly qualified solicitors on how to approach and get ahead in the legal profession.

 

Julie O’Hare, Chair of the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division followed explaining the benefits of being involved with both the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division and Liverpool Law Society and how both organisations were there to provide help to individuals within the legal profession as well as offering excellent networking opportunities.

 

Finally, HH Judge Swift, a Past President of Liverpool Law Society, enlightened the audience with tales of his experiences as a Judge, which was greatly received by all.

 

The newly qualified solicitors were then invited to receive their Certificate of Congratulations from HH Judge Swift watched by their proud family and friends.

 

A wine and canapés reception followed where solicitors old and new mingled creating new friendships across the legal profession. There were several past presidents in attendance including retired judge Richard McCullagh, Andrew Holroyd CBE and DDJ Anne Heseltine together with Officers and General Committee members of Liverpool Law Society.
