Event Description

Summer Ball 2012

Members of Liverpool Law Society and their guests  were welcomed to the Summer Ball by the President Steve Cornforth (alias Sgt Pepper) on Saturday, 12th May 2012.

The evening began with a themed 1960's reception in the superb surroundings of the Hilton Hotel followed by a delicious three course dinner. Guests were entertained by 'Pans Pop People' dancing to tunes of the 60's.

The comperes then took to the stage in somewhat dubious outfits to conduct a raffle and auction to raise money for the nominated charities. Each table won a prize in the raffle ranging from bottles of wine, a Kindle to the weekend use of a BMW Z4! Auction lots included a signed Liverpool football, signed Manchester United shirt and a stunning ladies diamond set Raymond Weil watch kindly donated by David M Robinson.

We are pleased to announce the evening raised £2,695 to be divided between the two charities.

The night finished with live music from 'The Zoots' which saw the dance floor and its inhabitants shaking to the music!

Thank you to the sponsors of the event: DX, First4CPD, Lairs Assessors, QPI and Wesleyan for Lawyers.

Thanks also go to the following organisations who donated gifts for the raffle:
David M Robinson, Andrew Collinge, Aon, Barclays Bank, Costco, Gourmet Kingdom, Haydock Park Racecourse, Hilton Hotel, MAS, Mills Media, Quill Pinpoint, Sakura, Viva Brazil and Wesleyan for Lawyers.

The President's chosen charities are: Brainwave (Reg. No. 1073238) and the Liverpool Mombasa Access to Justice Charity (Reg. No. 1143436).
