Event Description
The finals was held on 25th February 2008 in Council Chamber at the prestigious Liverpool Town Hall, where solicitors, teachers, pupils and their families mingled and enjoyed what was a great evening.
The winners on the evening were: Archbishop Blanch School
The school was awarded a trophy and each pupil, winners and runners up alike, received book tokens, a certificate and a Century of Liverpool Lawyer Book.
Pupils that took part from left to right back row on the gallery photo below are: St Margarets' School, Archbishop Blanch School, Merchant Taylors' for Girls School, Archbishop Blanch School, Weatherhead High School.

Liverpool Law Society arranged the Public Speaking Competition for the schools within the area covered by the Society as part of the celebrations for Capital of Culture 2008. Entry to the competition was open to students aged between 14 and 16 on 1 September 2007. Each team were comprised of 2 individuals.
Fourteen teams participated in the qualification rounds ending with 4 teams in the Final.
The schools that took in the qualifying heats where; St Francis Xavier College, Childwall Sports College, St Margaret's C of E School, Archbishop Blanch, Hillside High, Litherland High, St Hilda's C of E, Upton Hall, Weathehead High, Wirral Grammar, Sacred Heart Catholic College, Merchant Taylors School for Boys, Merchant Taylors School for Girls and Deyes High School.
