Wine Tasting Evening

Guests from different professions gathered together at this hugely successful networking event held at Liverpool Law Society offices.

The evening commenced with a welcome drink to cleanse the palate in readiness for the tasting ahead. Vice President Norman Jones welcomed guests and sponsors alike before handing over to Jon Atkinson of Scatchards. Jon provided a brief explanation on how to distinguish between the different wines through smell, the movement of the wine in the glass and lastly some tips on the art of 'slurping' to everyones amusement!

Explanations over and quiz sheets in hand it was time for the teams to visit four stations to blind taste a selection of four white and four red wines. There was much discussion between team members and some even found it necessary to revisit a number of the wines just to make sure!!

When all sheets had been completed they were collected and marked  while guests enjoyed the buffet and topped up their glasses during which time a raffle was drawn for bringing a guest from a different profession, the winner being Sandra Phillips of Integrative Vision who was presented with a hamper.

With much anticipation the results of the wine tasting quiz were announced and the winners were from the Specter Partnership who received a box of wine.
