Wirral Road Show Success

Liverpool Law Society held its first ever “Wirral Road Show” event at the new Floral Pavilion in New Brighton on Thursday to great success with over 150 delegates attending. The event, which is hoped to be repeated in the future, aimed to bring together lawyers on both sides of the River to share knowledge and experiences. It also billed itself as a “lifestyle event” and gave the opportunity to Wirral based businesses, both legal and lifestyle to showcase themselves to a wider audience.

The event was also well attended by students from the region and advice was on hand as to training, qualifications and job prospects in what are currently worrying times for young graduates. Speakers included Jane Cheater, Alistair Macdonald and Peter Scott who gave seminars on practice management, mergers and networking to boost business. In the current market with solicitors’ practices reportedly closing their doors due to soaring overheads any advice to keep businesses working in the legal sector, a large employer in Merseyside, is welcomed. The Liverpool Law Society is a key provider of advice and support to local practices. This “lifestyle event” gave the opportunity to Wirral based businesses, both legal and lifestyle to showcase themselves to a wider audience.
