Sarah Mansfield
President of Liverpool Law Society 2025-26
Sarah is a Partner at Excello Law. She is an experienced specialist with 28 years PQE in Landlord and Tenant Law, Leasehold Law and Block Management, Housing and Environmental Law and Property Disputes. Sarah acts for Management Companies, Landlords and Freeholders, Developers, Private Landlords and Social Landlords. Sarah was awarded the Rupert Bremner Prize by Liverpool Law Society in 1995.
Sarah is an experienced external speaker and is a Director of the Liverpool Law Society. Sarah is a Trustee for Merseyside Water Rescue, a Charity in Liverpool she set up with the other Trustees to rescue people from the water in the Albert Dock and they are part of the National Flood Protection Scheme and provide support to other similar charities in the UK. Merseyside Water Rescue (registered charity number 1178185) and The Liverpool Council Of Education (Incorporated) Charity (number: 526714) assisting people into education by making grants to Liverpool schools and pupils of Liverpool schools are Sarah’s two nominated charities for the duration of her term as President of Liverpool Law Society.
Sarah was a founder member of the Law Clinic at Liverpool University and was a Non-Executive Director of Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing Association.
Sarah was previously a qualified nurse practitioner with post-graduate qualifications in Intensive Care and Anaesthetics and Recovery. She is a qualified First Aider and First responder and has Power Boat 2 qualifications, Safeguarding and Radio Signal qualifications.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys sewing and upholstery, travelling and walking her 2 dogs.
Alum Ullah
Vice President of Liverpool Law Society 2025-26
Alum is an experienced litigator and solicitor with 18 years PQE in civil and personal injury work.
He was previously chair of the Civil Litigation Sub-Committee at Liverpool Law Society and is currently the Vice President and a Director.
In his current work role, Alum is the Training Principal and a Solicitor at Bond Turner, providing training and guidance to members of staff, as well as maintaining a caseload of client cases.
Alum is an experienced tutor and speaker and has delivered training for several years. Alum is a sessional tutor at Liverpool John Moores University.
Alum was recently appointed Senior Member (Chair) of the Valuation Tribunal of England and deals with appeals on a panel.
Outside of work, Alum enjoys running (marathon runner and charity work), going to the gym, and bowling. He is an accomplished crown green bowler, winning many competitions over the years.
Nina Sahu
Deputy Vice President of Liverpool Law Society 2025-26
Nina grew up in the seaside resort of Southport before moving far away to Manchester to enjoy the vibrant student scene there. She obtained a degree in Law & Accounting from the University of Manchester and decided to pursue a legal career and in particular a career involving medical law, after enjoying studying the subject at University. Nina now specialises in clinical negligence claims having trained at a firm where she acted for patients (Claimants) before moving to Hill Dickinson LLP where she now defends claims against the NHS. Nina is a Legal Director at Hill Dickinson and specialises in claims brought against primary care, particularly GPs.
Nina first joined Liverpool Law Society in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, as a member of the newly formed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee. She became chair of the committee in 2021 and was proud to oversee three EDI events during her time as chair. Nina also currently sits on the Law Society’s EDI Committee which meets quarterly.
Outside of work, Nina enjoys travelling, cooking, walking and reading.
