Liverpool Law Society’s Annual Dinner and Legal Awards takes place on 12th November 2026. This black-tie event provides you with a chance to network with colleagues and peers and celebrate being part of a progressive and dynamic legal community. It promises to be a fabulous evening. Professor Michael Wooldridge
Professor Wooldridge is the Ashall Professor of the Foundations of Artificial Intelligence in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, and a Senior Research Fellow at Hertford College. Previously, Michael was a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool.
Michael has given evidence to multiple government committees, including the House of Lords Select Committee on AI, the Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee, and the Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology. In 2023 he was appointed Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords inquiry on Large Language Models and Generative AI.

We are delighted to be holding the Legal Awards ceremony during the evening, showcasing the excellent legal work of local firms and individuals completed over the last 12 months.
Nominations for the 2026 Liverpool Law Society Legal Awards will open in July and close early September. The shortlist will be announced at the end of September and winners will be revealed at the ADLA event on 12 November. Please check back here once nominations have opened in July to make your submissions.
This year, there will be 8 categories to choose from as follows:

- Outstanding Team Award – Family Law
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award – sponsored by LJMU

The winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony held during the Annual Dinner on Thursday, 12th November 2026.
Ticket price includes a welcome drinks reception, a three course meal, wine on the table and coffee/tea. There will be music after the conclusion of the awards ceremony. Individual bookings or bookings of tables of 10 can be made using this webpage. A limited number of larger tables of 12 may be available on request.
Tickets are priced at :
Members £1,100 + vat for a table of 10 and £110 + vat for an individual booking
Non-members £1,450 + vat for a table of 10 and £145 + vat for an individual booking
Dress code: black-tie
