Liverpool Law Society and Speakers for Schools invite you to attend this one-hour online event free of charge.
“Grow your early talent pipeline through virtual work experience”
Aimed at all those with a role in future talent in the legal sector, this is a virtual roundtable for LLS members to find out about Speakers for Schools and how you can support young people to improve social mobility and support young people to access meaningful and interactive encounters with employers through their experience programme.
Chaired by our President, Julie O’Hare, you will hear from Speakers for Schools’ Regional Engagement Manager, Shaheen Gul, Qualified Careers Professional, CDI registered with many years’ experience working with employers and schools. Shaheen will provide you with an overview of the charity, their mission and how you can engage with their Experience programme and support young people to improve social mobility.
They are currently supporting and engaging with a range of employers across the North-West to provide young people with meaningful virtual engagement with employers.
Speakers for Schools works with LEPs and Careers Hubs across the country including Liverpool Growth Platform, Careers Hub across Liverpool City Region. Their Experience Programme offers a range of different options for employers to engage with young people from Discovery Workshops to Insight Days as well as Virtual Work Experience.
Speakers for Schools is a registered charity in England and Wales (reg no 1150411) and was launched in 2010 by ITV’s Political Editor Robert Peston and is supported by the Law Family Charitable Foundation. Their mission is to raise career ambitions among young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across the UK, and provide the necessary inspiration, experience and networking opportunities for them to succeed.
