The event
As more women solicitors are being admitted into the profession, we continue to focus on addressing the barriers that they may face throughout their careers. This crucial change will make it easier for women to stay in the profession, reach their goals and advance to senior positions.
Male solicitors still have a stronger representation at partner equivalent levels across all admission cohorts. It is a positive mark that a higher proportion of female solicitors are reaching partner equivalents levels at younger ages. This progress reflects the positive impact of EDI initiatives implemented so far and can be developed further.
As a profession, we are stronger together and through collective efforts, we can further close the gaps that persist between men and women solicitors.
To build upon this positive progress, we will focus on actionable steps that everyone can take in the workplace to create lasting change and foster a more inclusive environment where women can thrive. Attendees will gain insight into practical steps they can implement and how having allies and advocates for a modern, diverse, and inclusive solicitor’s profession benefits everyone.
For more detailed information on timings and the agenda, please view the Law Society’s event page here. You do not need to register on The Law Society’s website if you are attending the live stream reception at DWF’s offices in Liverpool.
We look forward to your participation.
