Liverpool Law Society would like to invite all those who will or have qualified into the legal profession during the calendar year 2026 to celebrate the launch of their career in the Law with us.

This invitation is for all newly qualified solicitors, barristers on completing pupillage, Chartered Patent Attorneys, Fellows from CILEx, costs lawyers, notaries public, licensed conveyancers, and trade mark attorneys from the Liverpool City Region and surrounding area.

All those qualifying will be presented with a certificate of congratulations from

Ms Hazel Snell, DL

The High Sheriff of Merseyside

The Office of high Sheriff is an independent, non-political Royal appointment for a single year.  The origins date back to Saxon times, when the ‘Shire Reeve’ was responsible to the King for the maintenance of law and order within the Shire, or county and return of taxes due to the Crown.  Hazel says “The civic leadership role is particularly important to me as a professional woman undertaking this ancient shrieval role.”

Also at this event, the Society’s Education & Charities Committee is pleased to present prizes for academic performance and all-round contribution to a number outstanding junior lawyers from charity funds that the Society is sole trustee of.

Members of the Merseyside JLD are invited to network with members of Liverpool Law Society’s directors who will be in attendance.

What’s included:

  • arrival drink
  • canapes
  • Certificate of Congratulations
  • professional photographer to capture the evening
  • free LLS training course voucher

The University of Law are kindly sponsoring the evening.  There will be a cash bar available.
