Description

Liverpool Law Society is pleased to announce that it will again be holding the ‘Pathways to the Legal Profession’ event due to its popularity in previous years.  This will take place on Wednesday 12th February from 1:30pm-4:30pm at the Marriott Hotel. The event is designed to offer help and advice to year 12 students from the Liverpool City Region area in the different ways available to pursue a career in law. A degree in law is not the only way to enter the profession; apprenticeships are becoming more widely available and popular for those who are concerned about the burden of debt that comes with studying at University.

The event will include speakers from local Universities, CILEx, providers of legal apprentices, barrister and law firms to talk to students about the options regarding a career in the law. There will also be solicitor directors from Liverpool Law Society on hand to talk to students in a more informal manner during the break time to answer any questions they may have about being a lawyer.

In each of the previous years the event attracted over 100 students and teachers from over 21 schools across Merseyside. Invites have been sent out for the 2020 event and places are limited to 10 per school. If you have any enquiries regarding this event please contact us on socialevents@liverpoollawsociety.org.uk
