Rising Star Award Category Definition

This award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in client service, or innovation in development of the law and/or made an outstanding contribution to their firm, student or other professional body.

Criteria to be taken into account

The nominee must be eligible for membership of the Law Society Junior Lawyers Division, i.e. an LPC student, paralegal looking for training contract, trainee solicitor or solicitor up to three years qualified; legal executives up to three years qualified, a barrister up to three years qualified; or other legal professional up to three years qualified; or an apprentice (solicitor/paralegal/CILEx) in the Merseyside area and must be a member of Liverpool Law Society (individually or through a corporate membership).

1. Promotion of legal excellence in Merseyside and beyond taking into account, where relevant, obstacles that have been overcome. (Maximum 100 words)

2. Evidence of the impact the individual has had in raising their own, their team’s or firm’s/chamber’s profile and enhancing the reputation of Merseyside as a centre for legal excellence. (Maximum 100 words)

5. Goals and/or targets you were most proud of achieving during the period, and why. (Maximum 100 words)

6. Evidence of leadership and individual impact through involvement in and contribution to student, professional, charitable or other bodies. (Maximum 100 words)

7. Evidence of going above and beyond the day-to-day expectations of your role and what sets you apart from the other nominees. (Maximum 100 words)
