Chris Gutteridge has been committed to working on behalf of seriously injured people and bereaved families for nearly two decades. Mr Robert Macadam is a consultant general surgeon of 21 years standing in the NW with over 15 years of experience in medico-legal practice. He currently receives more than 50 instructions per year from both claimant and defendant solicitors, and has experience giving evidence in court and participating in joint expert meetings. His areas of expertise include emergency general surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, surgical decision-making, post-operative complications, and the prevention of avoidable harm. Robert has served as a Patient Safety Specialist and Assistant Medical Director at his NHS trust and as a CQC Specialist Advisor in general surgery. He is regularly invited to lecture on medico-legal matters, including by several of the UK’s largest clinical negligence law firms and the Advancing Quality Alliance (AQUA) in the North West. Aneurin Moloney is a clinical negligence and inquests junior at Gatehouse Chambers. His practice is predominantly claimant based, although he is also regularly instructed on behalf of defendants, and in particular private medical practitioners. Nye is ranked as a ‘Leading Junior’ in the Legal 500. He has particular expertise in claims arising out of delays in the diagnosis of cancer, the management of neurological emergencies, surgical errors, and issues of informed consent. Martyn Elliott is a Team Leader within Fletchers’ Liverpool office, leading one of their serious injury clinical negligence teams.
