Sometimes there’s no “off switch” with remote team management. The urge to support people and be available must be structured to help productivity, team members and also managers’ own needs. In this session, we consider methods and relative purposes of communication, how to be visible and approachable whilst maintaining  suitable clear time for yourself.

Speaker Biographies

Candy Bowman’s business ethos was formed early in her career. It rests on two main principles firstly that each encounter with every customer counts, either to enhance sales or reputation. This is coupled with the notion that the best route to business development and quality of working life is through good communication by positive, confident people. She graduated with a degree in communication studies and began her career in advertising telephone sales at Times Newspapers, progressing to first line management with responsibility for training and motivating a team of 10.
