The SRA defines competence as “the ability to perform the roles and tasks required by one’s job to the expected standard”. Three of the four SRA competency areas for solicitors are non-technical. The highest levels of technical skills are expected and assumed by clients, therefore the non-technical competencies are often what makes the crucial difference both to clients and the performance of the firm.
This intermediate level course is aimed at 3+ PQE lawyers with some existing management/supervision responsibilities within their firms, or those about to assume them. The session will deliver the business skills required to meet the SRA standards and to improve the performance of the firm.
The course can also be tailored for your firm and run in-house as a full day session or two half-day sessions. The content can be developed to meet the needs of any group within the firm e.g. 0-3 PQE, senior associates, new partners etc.
