The Society welcomes legal professionals to become members of Liverpool Law Society.
The categories of members and the annual rates of subscription payable by individual members of the Society with effect from 1st June are shown below. Please note VAT at the standard rate will be added to these prices.
Membership charges if based in Area A.
Area A constitutes the City of Liverpool, the Metropolitan Boroughs of Wirral, Knowsley, St. Helens and Sefton; and Widnes and Neston in the County of Cheshire

The different Categories of membership of the Society are:
(A) Full membership – Any solicitor residing, practising or employed within Area A shall be entitled to be admitted as a full member of the Society with voting rights.
(B) Affiliated membership – Any other solicitor who does not qualify for full membership above, may apply to become an affiliated member of the Society, without voting rights.
(C) Associated membership – Any other member of the legal profession may apply to become an associated member of the Society with approval of the Committee, without voting rights.
The areas referred to throughout are as follows:
The City of Liverpool, the Metropolitan Boroughs of Wirral, Knowsley, St Helens and Sefton; and Widnes and Neston in the County of Cheshire.
Any area outside Area A.
Please note that, in accordance with Article 28.2.1 of the Society’s Articles of Association, it is a condition of membership of a member who is a partner in a firm in AREA A, that the other partners in the firm are also members. Also note that, in accordance with Article 31.2.1 of the Articles, members within AREA A shall be entitled to full membership with full voting rights and members in AREA B shall be affiliate or associate members with no voting rights.
