Award description
This new award aims to shine a light on the work of law firms, chambers and other organisations who are members of Liverpool Law Society, that champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in their own organisation and/or the wider community.
Criteria to be taken into account
- Leadership, excellence, and innovative thinking in creating a culture of inclusivity within the organisation, removing barriers and improving the working experience and engagement of employees at all levels.
- Evidence of approaches to the identification, recruitment, support, development, progression, and retention of diverse talent, and initiatives to improve the recruitment and/or retention and/or progression of historically underrepresented staff.
- Demonstrates commitment to ensure that one or more (preferably all) of those groups with protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010 and/or issues with social mobility have an effective voice within the organisation.
- Take effective action to drive social inclusion in the workplace and/or playing a role in social inclusion in the legal and/or wider community.
- Evidence of outreach initiatives, collaboration and/or partnership serving to strengthen relationships amongst underrepresented groups within the organisation and/or the wider community.
- Evidence of embracing an agile and flexible approach to how, where and when people work, prioritising talent over traditional working practices.
- Initiatives to improve accessibility to the legal services provided by the organisation.
- Goals and/or impact and/or results you were most proud of achieving during the period, and why, including any awards or recognitions during the period.
