Award Description
This award category is open to all legal practitioners who work in litigation teams or in more widely-focused dispute resolution teams covering such areas as civil, commercial, crime, employment, personal injury, contentious probate or other areas of contentious work. Entries for this category will be from Liverpool Law Society member firms, chambers or other entities.
Award Criteria
1. Promotion of legal excellence in litigation (such as civil, commercial, crime, employment, personal injury, contentious probate or other areas of litigation) in Merseyside and beyond taking into account, where relevant, obstacles that have been overcome.
2. Excellence, initiative and innovative thinking in legal tech, client service and/or delivery.
3. Excellence in teamwork, including examples of collaboration to achieve a common goal, working in the most effective and efficient way, problem-solving and decision-making.
4. Excellence in technical skills and support for on-going continual professional development and education including training initiatives and accreditations received or being worked towards, for example Investors in People.
5. Innovation and involvement in interesting, challenging or new areas of practice including any specific cases of significance or contribution to the development of your area of law.
6. Goals and/or targets you were most proud of achieving during the period, and why.
7. Most significant highlights over the period e.g. new client wins, growth, differentiation from competitors etc
8. Involvement in and contribution to professional, charitable and other bodies.
9. Success in external listings/awards/recognitions during the period.
