(i) Please ensure you submit information in relation to as many criteria as possible without exceeding the word limit of 800 words.
(ii) All information should be relevant to the 2 year period ending 31 January 2019 and all references to “the period” should be read as such.
(iii) Additional evidence, information and material may be annexed to your entry.
(iv) Confidentiality – All information clearly marked confidential will remain so and will not be made public.
(v) Your application will be assessed on the information provided on the nomination form you submit online so please do take time and care when preparing your answers.
(vi) The nomination form should include:
- the name of the individual team or firm nominated
- the address of the firm of the nominee
- the contact details of the person completing the nomination form
(vii) The judges may in their discretion choose to interview applicants in a particular category if they deem it necessary. You will be informed if an interview is to take place the week commencing 11th March 2019. Interviews will take place between Tuesday 19th March and Friday 22nd March 2019 between the hours of 4.00pm and 7.00pm. You will be informed if you have been shortlisted for the Legal Awards by the end of March 2019.
Please note winners of Liverpool Law Society’s Legal Awards have the option of choosing to be passported to the longlist of the Law Society’s Excellence Awards taking place in October 2019, if the category coincides with one from the Law Society’s Awards. In previous years we have seen successful winners from the Liverpool Legal Awards go on to win at the Law Society’s ceremony, such as Zoe Gascoyne in 2017, who beat off strong competition in the Solicitor of the Year – Private Practice category. You will be asked when submitting your online entry to Liverpool Law Society’s Legal Awards to tick a box to confirm you are happy for your nomination to be passed on to the Law Society for entry into their Excellence Awards.
